About me

Born in Dallas, Texas, to Nigerian parents, I'm the third of four children. I always mention my family when speaking about myself, as they are integral to who I am. My mother's work ethic, my sister's creativity, and my brother's leadership all molded me from a young age. After bouncing around Texas in my early childhood, I spent my teenage years in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Wilmington was where I found my passion for creative expression and entrepreneurship. My first endeavor with this was through photography. The natural beauty in the area's beaches and forests inspired me to work as a graphic designer and photographer for family and friends. While I learned a lot, my favorite part of this experience was the connections I made with others. With this sense of community in mind, I knew it wouldn't be my last time creating something important for myself and those around me.

Throughout high school, I paired my creative skills with my love for STEM. This combination led me to major in the History of Science in college - a discipline combining the analytical precision of science with the critical sociological understanding that comes with the Humanities. My interest in this synthesis of scientific inquiry and social analysis shaped my extracurricular activities and, ultimately, my career.

The guiding principle of my professional experience has been to contribute to mission-driven connections between products and the people they serve. In my first professional experience at Physis Investment, I helped launch a platform focused on sustainability and the ESG performance of investment portfolios. After this, I co-founded my own startup, Dive, to better connect people through their tastes in art and media. Most recently, I worked at Via Transportation, a company using microtransit to increase public transit accessibility and sustainability.

The connection between consumers, their passions, and the products they love excites me, no matter the industry, product, or service.
